What do I think about Ben Affleck? Let’s see the performance. Nobody believed Michael Keaton could do Batman and he did a great job… we’ve seen him as Daredevil so all you have to do is get a felt pen and colour that in, and that’s pretty much what he’s gonna look like.
We are all living in a bubble of fiction. We think that our memories are true but they’re not. All of our memories, our entire lives, are fiction. We’re editing our lives as we go. That’s where the real power of fiction comes from.
It’s not the job of the artist to give the audience what the audience wants. If the audience knew what they needed, then they wouldn’t be the audience. They would be the artists. It is the job of artists to give the audience what they need.
